Cultural heritage

Some remnants of the former economic activities that took place in the area can still be found today. There was an active industry, where forest sources were basic for the sustenance of many families from the nearby towns. Unfortunately, most of the constructions are now deteriorated and threatened so more than ever it is crucial for us to work hard to keep our history alive.

This is why we work hard year in year out to restore our treasured architectural heritage including mirador lookout points, houses, charcoal kilns, dry stone walls, wells, etc. This is the legacy that we have inherited from our ancestors, the legacy that earned the Serra de Tramuntana its recognition as a World Heritage site in the Cultual Landscape category
